We’ve turned a page, or maybe we’ve started an entirely new chapter. With our kids now both out of college, our work lives down shifting, and our bucket list longing to be filled, we have recently started the engine on a new adventure along the east coast with Admiral Zuly.

We’re saying “yes” to a new journey. A journey to see and experience new things; a journey to find balance between work and play, community and solitude, and discovering who has the best dog park, coffee and ice cream on the east coast. We’re saying “yes” to our inner journey, which nature - and particularly the wide open water - has a way of creating space for. Time to think, to reflect, to write, and occasionally to turn up the music real loud and dance. We’re saying “yes” to paring down and following the charm of what we love - individually and together.

While boating is not new to us, shifting into this way of being definitely feels new. Like all things new, the feelings lie somewhere between excitement and fear. We’re giving ourselves permission to make mistakes and to figure it out along the way, and we’re grateful for the videos and guidance from so many boaters who have followed the charm of living life on the water.

While we will be part time on the boat (part of the “balance” we’re striving for) and part time in Asheville, NC (our other love!) our hope is to document our experiences here for our own memories, for friends and family, and also to continue the sharing of information that we’ve found to be so helpful between boaters.
